*Caution: Spoilers ahead.*

This is not a review, just a statement of my love and awe of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Well, that's it. The series has ended. After 10 incredible years, the Harry Potter movies have caught up to their paper counterparts and granted fans the finale of a lifetime. This magical tale has made its way into so many people's hearts, and rightfully so.

There's just something so special about the magical fantasy world that J.K. Rowling has created. It's the kind of thing that becomes very difficult to put into words. You can't really explain why you become so attached to such a tale, especially to those who aren't generally fans of the science fiction and fantasy genre.

There were a lot of amazing things about this movie. I'll just mention a couple of my favorite parts.

Snape's death and the scene where Harry delves into Snape's memories. Oh...my...GOD. I mean, it couldn't have been done any better. I've been a fan of Snape since the beginning. Alan Rickman's performance was heart-wrenchingly perfect, and I know that fans will freak out if he doesn't get the recognition that he deserves for his performance.

Other parts of the movie that I loved were:

Neville's general presence and comical lines, Harry saving Draco from the burning Room of Requirement, Professor McGonagall protecting the kids and her little bit of comic relief, and the last scene where the three stars just stand there, in front of a destroyed Hogwarts, holding hands.

Can you imagine going through a war, that you find out you were basically born into, from ages 11-18? That is undoubtedly one of the aspects of this series that clings to people's emotions. Many fans of the series are the same age as the actors of these films or their characters, so it's not too hard for fans to put themselves in the characters shoes. I myself am the same age these kids, and watching these movies for the past 10 years, I've been able to so easily connect with them because of that.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 definitely deserves its title of the highest-rated movie in the franchise, as well as its undying place in the hearts of its fans.

I feel so lucky to have lived through this amazing magical phenomenon. To reiterate the millions of Harry Potter fans, I need to say this:

J.K. Rowling, thank you for the magic.
